I received BBG Yellow seeds from Florissa Arroyo. I first thought It must have crossed with an upward growing ornamental type based on the darker, almost black no calyx phenotypes . I am now suspicious that the BBG Yellow may have been a green leaf MAMP variant\u003cspan\u003e. It could have exhibited \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ehidden\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e traits with the dark foliage. I\u003c\/span\u003e will never really know if someone dropped off the original name. If it were like the old pepper world I could have claimed every variation as my “creation”. I decided to keep them in one family under”PurpleGum” to make it less confusing and show the different things that can come from 1 hybrid. Many have renamed these from me and mixed them up with “Puma BBG” which is a different cross all together. Others have recently mixed them with BBG x PDN or TigerGum. The degree of purple will vary depending on growing conditions and selection. It has spawned yellow, orange, peach, white, cream and variations In between. Some with and some without the bleeding calyx. Green leaf variants have shown also. The BBG phenos are actually milder in heat than the non-bleeding counterparts. Paul released F2 seeds in 2015. Another grower Florissa Arroyo grew the F2 in 2016 from Paul. I received F3 seeds to grow in 2017 from Florissa. Everyone got red, but Orange and Cream were discovered and selected out here at T-E; by Bryan Townshend. After trying to get Paul to name them, and a few years later after others started changing the name; \"Creamo\" was born. They also made their way back to Paul when I sent Ben White the selections who currently grows in Paul's old Pollytunnel. It has an amazing color change from purple, to orange, to red. This is one of the original red variations I found in 2015 from peach. They are the ones that led to all the Fire \u0026amp; Ice. Most of the phenos are in the website to compare. Then in \u003c\/span\u003e2017 \u0026amp; 2018 they gave many more variations from each of the plants I planted from. The Burnt Orange led to all the Fire \u0026amp; Ice. I received them from Jes Christensen. Jes got them from Enrico Lai. I later traced the Peach\/Pink of Enrico's to Christopher Phillips, Chris Fowler, Grant Hustler, \"Pepper Italia\", \u0026amp; AISPES.  I started calling them what others were logging variations as \u0026amp; I thought Enrico named them, \"Pimenta Jolokia\". I also really like the name as a marriage of the two parents that created it. All of theirs were Peach\/Pink, but when I planted them: all ripened Red. Not to be Discouraged, I planted a bunch from the different reds and a new peach returned. Many other colors \u0026amp; variations came from those different red variations including a dark burnt orange in 2016. In 2018 they showed super dark variations with sucked in tails also. It's very cool that they are all pretty constant with ripe blushing and darkness in the foliage. Expect many different variations\/Phenotypes. Originally Paolo Fisicaro made the cross in 2009 between Bhut Jolokia and Pimenta De Neyde. It was to be called Pimenta Elisa under an Italian non-profit organization AISPES. It was shared abroad to some enthusiasts with attached guidelines. If the guidelines like isolation were not met, it would be cataloged as \"Bhut x Neyde Fn\" . The problem was that information did not get passed on, and with every color shift; someone created a new name. AISPES did choose to name a few more phenotypes that I know of. \"Pimenta Tiger\" , \"Pimenta Leopard\" \u0026amp; \"Pimenta Gobbo\". After so many variations appeared, many tried to shorten up the name. This information was not easy to track down. All Bhut x PDN do come from 1 cross. This is the most beautiful and productive set of \"Bhut x Neyde\" genetics I have come across. Some of these variations wouldn’t exist if not for Towns-End releasing them. Unfortunately people  are still renaming many variations from this grow out and others. Look for the Pandora’s Box mix, as they will start going out mixed instead of following and selling 50 different Pimenta Jolokia (PJ) selections. Originally Paolo Fisicaro made the cross in 2009 between Bhut Jolokia and Pimenta De Neyde. It was to be called Pimenta Elisa under an Italian non-profit organization AISPES. It was shared abroad to some enthusiasts with attached guidelines. If the guidelines were not met, it would be cataloged as \"Bhut x Neyde Fn\" . The problem was that with every color shift, someone created a new name. AISPES did choose to name a few more phenotypes that I know of. Pimenta Leopard, Pimenta Sparanese, Pimenta Tiger \u0026amp; Pimenta Gobbo. After so many variations appeared,people went crazy claiming them. This info was not easy to track down. If I had seen this before, I probably would never have assumed the Pimenta Jolokia\" name.
