I came across 3 distinct variations while growing this cultivar. The classic desired shorter stubby selection, and one more elongated. I also found a gnarly variation I didn’t carry on. Said to come from an Indian Embassy in Myanmar. The plant is claimed to be 40+ years old as of 2010.
A possible young hybrid responsable for Bhuts and Nagas as they dispersed into multiple selections and regions?? Maybe someone can check if such a plant still exists. The flavor definitely pays an omage to classic Bhut Jolokia.

Here is an excert of the history, in grower Ian Stuart's own words from a public post........

"Embassy Naga/E-Strain Naga.  In roughly 2010 I was trading seeds with a good friend Isong, I had asked him if he would keep his eye out for nice Indian hot peppers, he sent me many pictures of different pods, after a year or so he sent me this picture and told me it was from an Indian only speaking plant growing group, I asked him for more info as it looked great, the info I got back was that it was a picture an oldish person had posted of a mature plant that was growing in an Embassy in Myanmar that he or she cleaned at once a month and had been doing so for 40+ years. As some of you will know Isong’s English wasn’t great so it wasn’t easy getting the complete story. Anyway I asked if he could get me seeds and after many months I got an old damp half pod with ten or so seeds of which I shared with Matt and Chong, Matt and I grew it but I accidentally snapped mine at the base of the stem whilst moving it in DWC, so Matt had the only plant the first year, he shared pods at a chilli festival, but the next year some were not growing true. I had 3 seeds that I found of the original ones and grew them the next season and because it was such a nice pepper I wanted to Isolate it for preservation, but my dilemma was if it had the name Embassy then it would get mixed up with the open pollinated one. So I gave it a slightly different name just for preservation, I have never wanted any money for it or any type of notoriety, it’s just a lovey pepper variety, the reason why it is a bugger to get growing is the fact it’s not acclimatised yet to our climate U.K. , and also the pods in the picture I first received are more rounded is because the plant is reputable 40+ years old."
